30-Minute Mongolian Beef

A quick and easy recipe for Mongolian Beef that packs a ton of flavor and can be made in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound flank steak
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger

Instructions

  1. Slice the flank steak against the grain into thin strips.
  2. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, brown sugar, and cornstarch until smooth.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the beef and stir-fry until browned.
  5. Remove the beef and add the remaining oil.
  6. Stir-fry the garlic and ginger until fragrant.
  7. Add the beef back in, pour the sauce over it, and cook until the sauce thickens.
  8. Garnish with green onions and serve.

Notes

  • Serve with steamed rice for a complete meal.
  • Adjust the sweetness by changing the amount of brown sugar.
