1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon active dry yeast
1/2 cup warm milk
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1 large egg
1 cup diced apples
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let it sit for 5 minutes.
In another bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
Add the yeast mixture, butter, and egg to the dry ingredients; knead until smooth.
Let the dough rise for 1 hour until it doubles in size.
Roll out the dough and spread the apple mixture over it.
Roll the dough tightly and slice into rolls.
Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
Prepare icing by mixing cream cheese and powdered sugar; drizzle over warm rolls.
