- 1 pound chicken breast, diced
- 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 1 cup green peas
- 1 cup potatoes, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pie crust
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté onions and garlic until translucent.
- Add chicken, carrots, peas, and potatoes, cooking until the chicken is no longer pink.
- Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually add chicken broth and milk, stirring until thickened.
- Add thyme, salt, pepper, and the cooked turkey bacon back into the mixture. Mix well.
- Pour the mixture into a pie crust, then cover with another crust.
- Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
