  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup hot water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, milk, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Pour the melted butter into the mixture and stir until combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
  5. In another bowl, mix together brown sugar and hot water, then pour it over the batter in the baking dish.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is set.
  7. Serve warm, topped with ice cream if desired.
