A delicious take on the classic French sandwich, featuring turkey bacon for a modern twist.

  • 4 slices bread
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup grated Gruyère cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the turkey bacon in a skillet until crispy.
  2. Make a béchamel sauce by melting butter, adding flour, and whisking in milk until thick. Stir in cheese.
  3. Assemble sandwiches by placing turkey bacon and sauce between bread slices.
  4. Fry the sandwiches in the skillet until golden brown.
  5. Fry eggs to your liking.
  6. Top each sandwich with a fried egg and a drizzle of remaining sauce.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add herbs to the béchamel sauce.
