  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, red wine vinegar, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, garlic, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Place the flank steak in a zip-top bag or shallow dish.
  3. Pour the marinade over the steak, seal the bag or cover the dish, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to overnight.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the marinade.
  6. Grill the steak for 5-7 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer to achieve desired doneness.
  7. Let the steak rest for 10 minutes before slicing against the grain.
