  • 1 pound large sea scallops
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Gruyère cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add the scallops and cook until they are just opaque.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and half of the Gruyère cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and top with breadcrumbs and remaining cheese.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a different flavor, try adding a splash of white wine to the cream sauce.
  • Make sure to not overcook the scallops in the skillet.
