Jamie Oliver’s Shakshuka Recipe

A delicious and healthy spin on traditional Shakshuka, featuring Turkey Bacon.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cups diced tomatoes
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté onion, garlic, and bell pepper until soft.
  3. Add tomatoes and paprika, stirring well. Cook until slightly thickened.
  4. Make small wells in the mixture and crack eggs into each well.
  5. Cover and cook until eggs are set to your liking.
  6. Serve with crumbled turkey bacon and parsley on top.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • This dish pairs well with crusty bread.
