  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt butter with brown sugar over medium heat; pour into a greased cake pan.
  3. Arrange sliced peaches evenly on top of the butter and sugar mixture.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. In another bowl, cream together granulated sugar and remaining butter; add eggs and vanilla, mixing until smooth.
  6. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with milk until blended.
  7. Pour batter over peaches in the cake pan.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
