An easy and flavorful Shakshuka recipe featuring turkey bacon, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and chop into pieces.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté onion and bell pepper until softened.
  3. Add garlic, paprika, and cumin, and cook for another minute.
  4. Stir in the diced tomatoes and bring to a simmer.
  5. Add the cooked turkey bacon back into the skillet.
  6. Make wells in the tomato mixture and crack an egg into each well.
  7. Cover and cook until the eggs are set.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
