## Sicilian Meatloaf

A delicious take on traditional meatloaf with a Sicilian flair.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound Italian sausage
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, Italian sausage, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, eggs, onion, garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, and milk. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into a loaf and place in a baking dish.
  4. Spread marinara sauce over the top of the meatloaf.
  5. Bake for about 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  6. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider adding diced bell peppers or olives.
  • Pair with a side salad for a complete meal.
