Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour and cornstarch, then gradually add to the wet mixture.
  5. Fold in the cream cheese and vanilla bean paste until fully incorporated.
  6. Fill the cupcake liners about 2/3 full with the batter.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool completely before topping with whipped cream and sprinkling brown sugar for brûlée effect.
